Anita Rose was described by her family as “well known and loved in the community”

Police investigating the killing of a woman more than three weeks ago have released images of her missing jacket and phone case.

Anita Rose, 57, from Brantham in Suffolk, was walking her dog in the village when she was attacked on 24 July. She died four days later in hospital.

Suffolk Police said the items, that have yet to be found, “could hold key information or evidence” that solves the case.

Three people have been arrested and bailed in connection with the attack, including two on suspicion of murder and one on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Police said Ms Rose left her house at 05:00 BST to take her springer spaniel, Bruce, on their usual walk in the area.

At about 06:25 Ms Rose was found unconscious lying on a track road near the sewage works and railway line, off Rectory Lane.

An ambulance was called and she was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with a serious head injury. She died on 28 July.

A post-mortem examination was unable to establish a cause of death and the force said more tests would be carried out.

The force said her missing jacket, a waterproof pink zip-up Regatta Calderdale II jacket, was from its Autumn-Winter 2017 range, in Duchess Dark Cerise.

It said it had found her Apple iPhone, but her phone case, a black wallet-style quilted case with gold crown and stud detail, was still missing.

Det Supt Mike Brown said: “This update has come from continued work alongside Anita’s family who have assisted us in identifying the make and model of the jacket, as well as providing us with an image of Anita’s phone case.

“We continue to believe these missing items could hold key information or evidence to the investigation and ask anyone with any information to come forward.”

He said inquiries continued, including forensic work, searches, house-to-house inquiries and CCTV analysis.

Specialist officers were supporting Ms Rose’s family and updating them, he added.
