Mae arweinydd y Ceidwadwyr yn y Senedd, Darren Millar, wedi disgrifio’r cyhoeddiad gwariant ar y rheilffyrdd fel “sarhad i bobl Cymru” ac yn “gywilyddus”.

Dywedodd bod “buddsoddodd llywodraeth Geidwadol flaenorol y DU dros £1bn mewn seilwaith rheilffyrdd rhwng 2014 a 2024, ac addawodd dros £1bn yn fwy i gyflawni’r trydaneiddio yng ngogledd Cymru”.

Ymatebodd arweinydd Plaid Cymru, Rhun ap Iorwerth, i’r adolygiad gwariant: “Mae’r canghellor newydd gyhoeddi bod y £445m ar gyfer rheilffyrdd yng Nghymru – dim ond mymryn o’r hyn sy’n ddyledus i ni, cofiwch – dros 10 mlynedd.

“A daeth hyn yn sgil cyhoeddiadau ar fwy o fuddsoddiadau gwerth biliynau o bunnoedd mewn rheilffyrdd mewn rhannau o Loegr.

“Llafur yn bradychu Cymru eto.”

Dywedodd llefarydd Democratiaid Rhyddfrydol Cymru yn San Steffan, David Chadwick AS bod “dirmyg Llafur tuag at Gymru yn gwaethygu ac yn gwaethygu”.

Ychwanegodd: “Mae’r penderfyniad anamddiffynadwy i ledaenu’r swm bach hwn o gyllid rheilffyrdd dros 10 mlynedd nid yn unig yn amddifadu Cymru o’r hyn sy’n ddyledus iddi am brosiectau’r gorffennol, ond mae hefyd yn gwarantu y byddwn yn parhau i fod ar ei hôl hi o ran gwariant seilwaith, wrth i brosiectau trafnidiaeth mawr yn Lloegr gael golau gwyrdd.”
