“He’s injured his knee and he’s dislocated his shoulder.

“It’s tough for him because he’s been good for us, Lewis, and he was coming back to a club he was at last year.”

When asked about Parkinson’s criticism of the Galbraith tackle, Swansea head coach Vitor Matos said: “That’s what Phil said, that’s his opinion, I have nothing to comment on that.

“I will not comment on the referee’s performance, that’s not for me. That’s for someone else, so yeah, nothing to say.”

Parkinson says Wrexham will have to wait to discover how long O’Brien faces on the sidelines.

“But of course it doesn’t look good,” he added. “He’s a tough player and he’s not coming off unless it’s something really serious.”
