A man has been arrested after a child was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries following a hit-and-run.
The youngster was hit by a motorbike on Central Drive in Shotton, Flintshire, at about 17:30 BST on Wednesday.
The child, whose age has not been released, was airlifted to Liverpool’s Alder Hey Hospital and is in a critical condition.
Police confirmed on Thursday morning that a man suspected to be the rider of the motorbike has been arrested and in police custody.
Three people have also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
North Wales Police Ch Insp Trystan Bevan said officers were trying to “locate a suspect who failed to stop following the collision”.
