One person has escaped serious injury during a petrol bomb attack on a house in north Belfast.
They were inside the semi-detached bungalow when the petrol bomb was thrown through the living room window.
It happened in the Forthriver Road area, at about 03:00 BST on Friday.
The police said they are treating the attack as arson with intent to endanger life.
“Fortunately no serious injuries have been reported at this time” but damage has been caused to the house, police said.
Det Sgt McCallum said officers attended the scene with Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) colleagues, “who made the area safe”.
The NIFRS said two appliances from Springfield Fire Station attended the incident.
The cause of the fire “is believed to be deliberate ignition” and the incident was dealt with by 04:13 BST, NIFRS added.
