Fe gafodd Mary Stallard ei hethol yn Esgob Llandaf yn 2023.

Mewn datganiad, dywedodd Archesgob Cymru, Cherry Vann: “Gyda’r sioc a’r tristwch dwysaf y clywais am farwolaeth drasig mam yr Esgob Mary, Daphne.

“Gwn y bydd holl aelodau’r Eglwys yng Nghymru, a phawb sy’n adnabod yr Esgob Mary, yn ymuno â mi i gynnig eu cydymdeimlad diffuant a’u gweddïau drosti hi a’i theulu yn yr adeg hynod boenus hon.”

‘Cynorthwy-ydd rheolaidd yn yr eglwys’

Mewn neges ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol dywedodd Eglwys Iau’r Drindod Sanctaidd yn Llandudno bod Ms Stallard yn helpu’n “rheolaidd” gyda gweithgareddau’r eglwys.

“Bydd llawer ohonoch wedi gweld yr adroddiad am farwolaeth menyw leol 89 oed a gafodd ei tharo gan lori ailgylchu.

“Mae’n ddrwg gennym nodi mai’r dioddefwr oedd Daphne Stallard, cynorthwy-ydd rheolaidd yn yr Eglwys Iau.”
