A scuba diving event in County Donegal has been cancelled following the death of a man on Saturday. <\/p>\n
A man in his 40s died following an incident in Teelin Bay on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Irish broadcaster RT\u00c9 News is reporting that he died after getting into difficulty at a scuba diving event.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed (Irish police) said the incident occurred around 12:30 local time on Saturday and they subsequently received a request for assistance from the Irish Coastguard.<\/p>\n
RT\u00c9 have reported that 100 divers were taking part in the North West Dive Rally, organised by the Donegal Bay Sub Aqua club at Teelin Pier. <\/p>\n
Two men were recovered from the water. <\/p>\n
The man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n
The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in the coming days.<\/p>\n
The second man, aged in his 60s, is receiving treatment at University Hospital Galway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
