Detectives said the man was robbed in an alley near the A611<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Robbers with a machete slashed a man while trying to steal his e-bike, police have said.<\/p>\n

Nottinghamshire Police said they were called to Farleys Lane near the A611 Hucknall bypass at 00:50 BST.<\/p>\n

Officers said the victim, who was in his 30s, suffered slash wounds to his leg and hands after being pushed off his bike during a confrontation with two men in an alley.<\/p>\n

His injuries were not life-threatening or life-altering, the force said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The victim’s bike and phone were taken following a struggle.<\/p>\n

The bike has since been recovered and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.<\/p>\n

Det Sgt Nathan Bingham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: \u201cThis must\u2019ve been an incredibly scary ordeal for the victim, who was injured as a result and had a number of his belongings taken.”<\/p>\n
