The pilot whose plane crashed at the Shoreham Airshow, killing 11 men, has begun an appeal against the decision to revoke his flying licence.<\/p>\n
A vintage aircraft being piloted by Andrew Hill crashed into the A27 while performing a manoeuvre at the airshow in West Sussex in 2015.<\/p>\n
His licence was suspended by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) following the incident.<\/p>\n
Mr Hill, 60, is seeking the return of his full pilot\u2019s licence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Mr Hill was charged with 11 counts of manslaughter by gross negligence, but was found not guilty<\/a> after a trial in March 2019.<\/p>\n In December 2022, a coroner ruled that his significant errors and \u201cpoor\u201d flying of the Hawker Hunter plane led to the 11 men being unlawfully killed<\/a>.<\/p>\n A CAA spokesperson said: \u201cWe cannot comment on an ongoing legal case.\u201d<\/p>\n A decision is expected to be published up to 10 days after the hearing ends.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
