Newport County have signed forward Josh Martin on a six-month deal.<\/b><\/p>\n
The 23-year-old was a free agent after leaving the Exiles’ League Two rivals Notts County on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Martin’s move to Newport includes an option for him to stay on at Rodney Parade and is subject to international clearance.<\/p>\n
As a teenager, Martin made five Premier League appearances for Norwich City in 2019-20 and helped them win the Championship in 2020-21.<\/p>\n
“I’m excited to join the club,” said Martin.<\/p>\n
“For me, a big part of the move was speaking to the manager (Nelson Jardim).<\/p>\n
“I’m looking forward to getting out there, playing with the lads, and starting to put in some good performances.”<\/p>\n
Martin has also had loan spells at MK Dons, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley.<\/p>\n
He helped Portsmouth rise from League One to the Championship last season before moving on to Notts County in the summer of 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
