The displays at Stevenage railway station warned of problems on the mainline between London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

There are delays to rail services serving the capital after a person died after being hit by a train.<\/p>\n

British Transport Police were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks at about 08:50 GMT at Stevenage Railway Station in Hertfordshire.<\/p>\n

The person’s death is not thought to be suspicious.<\/p>\n

Thameslink Railway warned that “major disruptions” between London, Cambridge and Peterborough were expected until “the end of the day”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

All trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised, said a spokesperson. <\/p>\n

The operator added that services would not call at Stevenage until about 13:00 GMT.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, a fault with the signalling system at London Blackfriars means that fewer Thameslink services<\/a> are able to run across the network:<\/p>\n
