Two giant murals of football legend Denis Law have been painted on a high-rise block in his home city of Aberdeen.<\/p>\n

He was born and raised in the Granite City and played most of his career for Manchester United.<\/p>\n

Law – whose 30 goals for Scotland made him his country’s joint top scorer – died on 17 January at the age of 84.<\/p>\n

Artist Jerome Davenport worked on the tribute project in the Printfield area of Aberdeen. One image shows Law playing for Scotland, the other while he was with United.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nicknamed “The Lawman”, the footballer spent 11 years at Old Trafford with Manchester United.<\/p>\n

Law’s 237 goals in 404 appearances placed him third in United’s history behind Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton.<\/p>\n

He was capped 55 times for his country.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

His 30 goals made him Scotland’s joint top scorer of all time alongside Kenny Dalglish.<\/p>\n

In 2021, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia.<\/p>\n

After his death, his family said he fought a “tough battle” but was finally now at peace.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
