Two men have been taken to hospital after reports of a shooting in the Republic of Ireland on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Their injuries have been described by garda\u00ed (Irish police) as serious but not life-threatening.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to a disturbance at Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore, County Offaly at about 21:50 local time.<\/p>\n

A short time later, Garda\u00ed responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in nearby Kilcruttin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were taken to St. James’s Hospital in Dublin for treatment.<\/p>\n

The scene is currently preserved for examination by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
