A 105-year-old man on a mobility scooter died following a crash in Uckfield<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

A 105-year-old man died when his mobility scooter was involved in a crash in Uckfield.<\/p>\n

The man had been crossing the B2102 Bell Farm Road, east of the junction with Brookside, when he was struck by a blue Ford KA being driven by an 87-year-old woman, Sussex Police said.<\/p>\n

The force said the man, from Uckfield, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which happened at about 13:45 BST on Saturday. <\/p>\n

A section of the road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Ford driver was uninjured, and officers said they have launched an investigation into the crash.<\/p>\n

The deceased man’s next of kin have been informed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
