A second 17-year-old boy has been arrested over the death of 16-year-old Kayden Moy.<\/p>\n

Kayden, from East Kilbride, died after a large disturbance on Irvine beach on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

He died at Crosshouse Hospital the next day.<\/p>\n

Another 17-year-old boy appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday charged with Kayden’s murder.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He is accused of assaulting Kayden while in possession of a baton, chasing him, causing him to fall to the ground and stabbing him repeatedly.<\/p>\n

He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear again in court within the next week.<\/p>\n

Police inquiries are ongoing and officers remain in both Irvine and East Kilbride.<\/p>\n

The force has set up an online portal<\/a> where members of the public can share information directly with the major investigations team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
