Fire crews well called to garages near Station Road in Cowdenbeath<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

One person was taken to hospital after a fire at garages near Cowdenbeath railway station which caused disruption for residents and commuters.<\/p>\n

Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were sent to the scene on Station Road just after 16:30 on Wednesday. <\/p>\n

One patient was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy by the Scottish Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

ScotRail said the line between Inverkeithing and Cowdenbeath was blocked by the incident with disruption and delays to services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Police Scotland said a number of properties in the area were also evacuated as a precaution during the fire, which was not being treated as suspicious.<\/p>\n

High Street, Foulford Street, Stenhouse Street and Station Road were closed but have now been reopened.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
