The crash happened in the area of Laurel Bank Terrace<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

A 90-year-old pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Dumfries and Galloway. <\/p>\n

Police said the woman was on foot in the Laurel Bank Terrace area of Castle Douglas when she was involved in the crash. <\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 18:50 on Monday but the pedestrian died at the scene. <\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said: “The road was closed for a number of hours to allow investigations to be carried out. Inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
