Chelsea have completed the signing of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap for a £30m fee.

The Blues met a release clause in the 22-year-old’s contract that was activated following Ipswich’s relegation from the Premier League.

Enzo Maresca’s side saw off competition from Manchester United, Newcastle United and Everton for the England Under-21 international.

Delap scored 12 goals in 37 top-flight appearances last term.
