Against Roma, Chelsea were significantly more efficient in their attacking play, hitting the target with 11 of their 18 shots at goal, scoring six times, which lies in stark contrast to their six shots on target from 30 attempts against Everton.
Several superb, sprawling saves from Roma keeper Olivie Lukasova prevented the Blues from hitting double figures on the night.
Speaking on Disney+, Williams added, “[Tonight] I think they showed that the chances they have created, they have been able to put away, which they haven’t been able to do in recent weeks.
“I don’t think there was any doubt that this team could create chances.”
A goalscoring glut is just what the doctor ordered ahead of a crucial week, with a tricky trip to Brighton in the Women’s Super League, followed by German giants Wolfsburg in their final league-phase game next Wednesday.
