Former Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has signed a short-term contract with Dunfermline Athletic, sealing a return to the Scottish game and a reunion with manager Neil Lennon.
Wanyama, 33, has agreed a deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The former Kenya international had two years at Parkhead under Lennon’s management between 2011 and 2013 before a £12.5m move to Southampton.
He then joined Spurs in 2016 before moving to Canadian MLS side CF Montreal.
Lennon took over at East End Park last week and faces Scott Brown’s Ayr United on Saturday in his first match in charge, which could also be Wanyama’s debut if he is fit to play.
