Glasgow, winning four gold and five silver medals on day two.<\/span><\/p>\n<div data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4\">\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4.0\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-4.0.0\">All nine medals were won by Para-cyclists, including Jody Cundy who clinched a 14th consecutive world title in the men&#8217;s C4 1km time trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-5\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-5.0\">There were British one-twos in the men&#8217;s C3 1km time trial, the men&#8217;s B 1km time trial and women&#8217;s B individual pursuit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-6\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-6.0\">Britain&#8217;s medal total now stands at 14.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.0\">Over the opening two days GB have won six golds, six silvers and two bronzes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-8\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-8.0\">Neil Fachie and Matthew Rotherham won Britain&#8217;s first gold of the day, finishing 0.042 seconds ahead of team-mates James Ball and Steffan Lloyd in the men&#8217;s B 1km time trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-9\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-9.0\">Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl, who won the B 1km time trial on day one, took gold in day two&#8217;s penultimate event, defeating British Paralympic champion Lora Fachie and pilot Corrine Hall in the B individual pursuit final.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-10\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-10.0\">In the C3 1km time trial, British defending champion Jaco van Gass won gold by finishing 0.236 seconds ahead of compatriot Fin Graham.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11.0\">GB&#8217;s Daphne Schrager won silver in the women&#8217;s C2 individual pursuit and Frances Brown claimed second in the women&#8217;s C1 500m time trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"story-body__crosshead\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$crosshead-14\">Epic start for hosts in evening session<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-15\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-15.0\">There was seemingly a medal won in every event in the first half of Friday&#8217;s evening session as Great Britain dominated the Para-cycling schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16.0\">The gold rush was triggered by Cundy and Fachie, with the two Britons boasting 40 world titles between them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-17\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-17.0\">Cundy, 44, finished over a second ahead of Australia&#8217;s Michael Shippley in the C4 1km time trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-18\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-18.0\">The eight-time Paralympic champion in cycling and swimming now has 23 world titles across both sports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-19\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-19.0\">In the men&#8217;s B time trial, Fachie and pilot Rotherham took gold after a tense final 750 metres, delivering Fachie his 17th world title.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-20\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-20.0\">The pair, who won the Commonwealth title for Scotland together in 2022, were off the pace with a lap to go but managed to edge ahead of compatriots Ball and Lloyd who took silver.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-21\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-21.0\">Britain&#8217;s Sophie Capewell, who won silver in the team sprint on Thursday, finished fourth in the women&#8217;s elite 500m time trial &#8211; 0.122 seconds off a bronze medal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-22\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-22.0\">GB also missed out on bronze in the men&#8217;s elite team sprint, narrowly losing out to France.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"story-body__crosshead\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$crosshead-25\">GB&#8217;s Atherton through in downhill<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-26\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-26.0\">Meanwhile, in the women&#8217;s mountain bike downhill, GB&#8217;s five-time world champion Rachel Atherton safely qualified a day after dislocating her shoulder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-27\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-27.0\">Atherton injured her shoulder after a fall during a practice run on Thursday and posted the 31st fastest time on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-28\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-28.0\">With fewer than 40 entrants, any rider who set a time in qualifying advanced to Saturday&#8217;s final.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-29\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-29.0\">Tahnee Seagrave posted the second-fastest time with fellow Britons Harriet Harnden, Stacey Fisher, Anna-Louise Ferguson and Mikayla Parton also posting top 20 times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-31\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-31.0\">In the men&#8217;s mountain bike downhill qualifying, GB&#8217;s Bernard Kerr posted the third-fastest time with team-mates Charlie Hatton and Danny Hart also posting top 10 runs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-32\"><span data-reactid=\".1vtjxbtie6e.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-32.0\">Earlier on Friday, Great Britain, led by local favourite Katie Archibald, were fastest in qualifying for the women&#8217;s team
