Ireland had to settle for a tied ODI against Zimbabwe after failing to score a run from the final ball in Harare.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hosts made 227-9 before Ireland were set a target of 203 from 43 overs following a rain delay.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Requiring six runs off the final over, Jane Maguire and Ava Canning managed to score four off the first three balls. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, it became one from the last ball and Maguire was stumped by Chiedza Dhururu to end the game with Ireland leading the series 1-0.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zimbabwe openers Dhururu (46) Mary-Anne Musonda (41) laid a strong foundation with a partnership of 92.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hosts failed to build on that and Arlene Kelly took 4-35 as Ireland aimed to wrap up the three-match series.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another impressive opening stand – this time 84 from Gaby Lewis (42) and Leah Paul (34) – ensured a strong start for the Irish before the rain interruption and a new DLS target.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rebecca Stokell made 30 but it went down to the dramatic final over from Loreen Tshuma and she impressed, conceding just five runs to earn her side a tie.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kelis Ndlovu finished with 3-36. <\/span><\/p>\n

The sides will meet again for the third and final ODI on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
