No. That is totally fake news,&#8221; said Arteta, whose Arsenal contract runs until the summer of 2025. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-6\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-6.0\">&#8220;What you read, I&#8217;m really upset about it. I couldn&#8217;t believe it. It has no sources. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-7.0\">&#8220;I&#8217;m in the right place with the right people and feel really good about it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-8\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-8.0\">&#8220;I&#8217;m embracing a beautiful journey with this club and there&#8217;s still a lot to do. I have a strong relationship with the board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-9\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-9.0\">&#8220;Things come in a natural way. When the time is right we will have those [contract] discussions and find the best way to deal with it.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-10\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-10.0\">Arteta never played a competitive game for Barcelona&#8217;s first team and, after a loan spell at Paris St-Germain, the former midfielder went on to play for Rangers, Real Sociedad, Everton and Arsenal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-11.0\">After retiring, he worked as a coach under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City before taking over as Gunners boss in December 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-12.0\">He won the FA Cup with the north London club in 2020 and Arsenal finished second to Manchester City in the Premier League last season after being overtaken late in the title race.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-13\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-13.0\">The Gunners are third &#8211; five points behind leaders Liverpool &#8211; in the top flight going into Tuesday&#8217;s game at Nottingham Forest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-14\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-14.0\">They are also still in the Champions League and face Porto in the last 16.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-15\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-15.0\">&#8220;There is a lot to do here and we all share that ambition,&#8221; added Arteta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-16.0\">&#8220;We want more, we aren&#8217;t satisfied and the club wants another push to go to another level. Spain has an extraordinary league. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-20\"><span data-reactid=\".tbj8yd0mvi.0.0.0.1.$paragraph-20.0\">&#8220;From my perspective, and based on my experience working with Spaniards, they are characterised by a tremendous amount of self-confidence.
