{"id":14531,"date":"2024-03-06T05:32:51","date_gmt":"2024-03-06T05:32:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kede.com.br\/sport\/womens-world-championship-hannah-green-wins-title-after-late-charge\/"},"modified":"2024-03-06T05:32:52","modified_gmt":"2024-03-06T05:32:52","slug":"womens-world-championship-hannah-green-wins-title-after-late-charge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kede.com.br\/sport\/womens-world-championship-hannah-green-wins-title-after-late-charge\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s World Championship: Hannah Green wins title after late charge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-hmf8ql-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Australian Hannah Green made a 30ft birdie putt on the final hole to win the HSBC Women&#8217;s World Championship.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 27-year-old fired a five-under-par 67 on Sunday, including three birdies in her last three holes, to edge out France&#8217;s Celine Boutier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Green started the final day at Singapore&#8217;s Sentosa Golf Club in second place behind Japan&#8217;s Ayaka Furue.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She bogeyed the 10th but finished on 13 under after her late run of birdies to clinch a fourth LPGA Tour victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Boutier matched Green with a final-round 67 and was 12 under while Furue had to settle for a share of eighth spot at seven under after double-bogeying her final hole.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Green&#8217;s winning putt on the 18th sparked huge celebrations as she sealed her first win since last year&#8217;s JM Eagle LA Championship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I knew I needed to at least birdie the last to win by one. As soon as that putt went in, I was like &#8216;Oh my God, I&#8217;ve won&#8217;,&#8221; said Green.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;You have to take these highs when they come because it doesn&#8217;t always come and golf can be a learning sport sometimes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I almost won the championship in 2021 when I was playing it for the first time. I remembered I three-putted 17 and then a three-putt again on 18 to lose.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It feels great to have this trophy in my hands now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Celine played great today but she didn&#8217;t end up with the trophy in her hands.
