Rhiannon Dixon’s world-title defence against Terri Harper has been rearranged for 28 September in Sheffield.<\/b><\/p>\n
The lightweight bout was originally scheduled for 23 August in Manchester, but that event at the Co-op Live was cancelled after an injury to headliner Jack Catterall.<\/a><\/p>\n The fight has now been moved to the undercard of Dalton Smith’s European lightweight title bout against Jon Fernandez at the Sheffield Arena.<\/p>\n WBO champion Dixon confirmed the rescheduling on Instagram.<\/p>\n Dixon, 29, is undefeated in 10 fights and will make a first defence of the world title she won in April<\/a>.<\/p>\n Harper, 27, is a multiple-weight world champion with 14 wins, two losses and two draws on her impressive record.<\/p>\n But the Doncaster fighter has had mixed fortunes in her most recent bouts, drawing with Cecilia Braekhus in a light-middleweight unification fight<\/a> last October before suffering a stoppage loss to WBO champion Sandy Ryan at welterweight<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n Dixon is one of two currently undefeated world champions from England alongside WBA featherweight champion Nick Ball.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
