Britain’s Daniel Dubois is in talks to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight title.<\/b><\/p>\n

IBF champion Dubois withdrew<\/a> from his title defence against Joseph Parker on 22 February with illness, but will not look to reschedule that fight.<\/p>\n

Instead, attention has turned to facing Usyk, who holds all the other major world titles at heavyweight.<\/p>\n

Team Dubois are hopeful the fight can take place in the UK, with Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk telling Sky Sports, external<\/span><\/a> that Wembley Stadium was “one of the options”.<\/p>\n

Dubois’ most recent defeat was to Usyk in 2023, when he was stopped by the Ukrainian in Poland.<\/p>\n

Most of the biggest heavyweight encounters in recent years have taken place in Saudi Arabia, including Usyk’s two fights with Tyson Fury.<\/p>\n

Dubois’ most recent outing was against Anthony Joshua,<\/a> with the domestic rivals headlining at Wembley six months ago.<\/p>\n

Dubois has won his past three fights by stoppage, beating Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic before winning his maiden world title against Joshua.<\/p>\n

Usyk is undefeated in 23 bouts, beating Fury twice, Joshua twice, Dubois and Derek Chisora in that time.<\/p>\n

Usyk was undisputed champion at cruiserweight as well at heavyweight, but vacated his IBF heavyweight belt following his first win over Fury last year, which meant interim champion Dubois was upgraded to full champion before his bout with Joshua.<\/p>\n

The last British heavyweight to be undisputed was Lennox Lewis in 1999.<\/p>\n

Only three Britons – Savannah Marshall, Josh Taylor and Chantelle Cameron – have been undisputed in the four-belt era.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
