Henry Patten was among a number of Britons through to the third round of the French Open men’s doubles after victory over compatriot Jacob Fearnley.<\/b><\/p>\n
Patten and Finland’s Harri Heliovaara, seeded second, beat Fearnley and Canada’s Gabriel Diallo 6-2 6-3.<\/p>\n
Having won their first Grand Slam doubles title at Wimbledon last year, the 29-year-old Patten and Heliovaara, 35, are also looking to add to the Australian Open title they secured in January.<\/p>\n
Fearnley was competing a day after reaching the third round of the singles at Roland Garros, where he will face fellow Briton Cameron Norrie<\/a> on Saturday.<\/p>\n British sixth seeds Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash also progressed, beating American pair Ryan Seggerman and Learner Tien 7-5 7-6 (7-5).<\/p>\n They are joined in the next round by eighth seeds Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury, who ousted Argentina’s Guido Andreozzi and France’s Theo Arribage 7-5 6-4.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
