Bournemouth have signed teenage Serbian defender Veljko Milosavljevic for \u00a313m from Red Star Belgrade and taken full-back Alex Jimenez on loan from AC Milan.<\/b><\/p>\n
Milosavljevic, 18, has represented his country at under-21s level and agreed a five-year contract with the Cherries.<\/p>\n
The deal for 20-year-old Jimenez, a Spain youth international, will become a permanent deal for \u00a316.5m if he makes 18 Premier League starts this season.<\/p>\n
Milosavljevic made 14 league appearances for Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian top flight and became the third youngest debutant in the history of the club.<\/p>\n
“It was always my dream to play in the Premier League as it is the best league in the world,” he said.<\/p>\n
“I’m very happy to be part of the Bournemouth family. I can’t wait to meet the team-mates, staff and fans of the club.<\/p>\n
“I can’t wait to start working with [manager] Andoni Iraola as I’ve seen the progress that young players can make working with him.”<\/p>\n
Bournemouth have had a busy summer, having lost defenders Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez for a combined total of about \u00a3150m to Paris St-Germain, Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively.<\/p>\n
Milosavljevic and Jimenez will provide Iraola with another defensive option following the signings of centre-back Bafode Diakite for \u00a334.6m from Lille,<\/a> left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes for \u00a314.4m and goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic for \u00a325m from Chelsea.<\/p>\n Jimenez came through Real Madrid’s academy and said: “It has always been one of my dreams to play in the Premier League.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
