Glamorgan director of cricket Mark Wallace said: “Sean is one of the most explosive middle-order T20 batters in the country and is a proven top-four option in four-day cricket.<\/p>\n
“With Sam Northeast heading back to Kent, Sean will add to the experience of our batting unit and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to Wales.”<\/p>\n
Dickson has scored 5,464 first-class runs at an average of 31.95 with a top score of 318 for Kent, but has been more prominent in T20 cricket while at Somerset.<\/p>\n
Dickson top-scored in both the semi-final and final as Somerset emerged triumphant in the T20 Blast in 2023, while he again helped them reach the final last year.<\/p>\n
He top-scored for Durham in the 2021 One Day Cup final against Glamorgan hitting 84, and made 44 for Somerset against Glamorgan in the 2024 final. <\/p>\n
News of Dickson’s move to Wales comes shortly after his brilliant innings of 71 from 26 balls saw Somerset beat Bears<\/a> to claim a place at T20 Finals Day for the fifth year in a row.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
