He was a person of character as well as a great team-mate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Dietz was from Conway, Arkansas, and was in his second year at Connors State. He started the first eight games of the season for the Cowboys, averaging 11 points and 9.4 rebounds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The school cancelled several men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s basketball games and scheduled a campus vigil to honour Dietz&#8217;s life on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It is devastating when such a bright light is taken from us,&#8221; added CSC president Dr Ron Ramming. &#8220;Ethan exemplified what it means to be a Cowboy, to value hard work and being part of a team.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/sport\/basketball\/articles\/c5yqge8wx3eo?at_medium=RSS&#038;at_campaign=rss\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;He was talented athletically and academically and he understood the importance of hard work.
