New Zealand international Maiakawanakaulani Roos has joined Trailfinders Women as injury cover until the end of March.<\/b><\/p>\n
The 24-year-old has 38 international caps and played in five of the Black Ferns’ World Cup games earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Roos was part of New Zealand’s 2021 Rugby World Cup-winning squad, with the tournament played in 2022.<\/p>\n
“I came to Trailfinders because I saw my friends playing rugby and I wanted to be part of the fun,” she told the club’s website., external<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n “I really like the style of rugby Trailfinders play, they like to play on top and keep the ball alive. It’s a very attacking style of rugby and I think that’s very fun.<\/p>\n “Because I’m only here for a few months, I want to have a big impact while I am at Trailfinders. I want to do as much as I can on and off the pitch to leave the club in a really good position at the tail end of the season.”<\/p>\n Trailfinders are fourth in the Prem Women’s Rugby table with 10 points from their opening three matches and face London rivals Saracens on Saturday. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
