Tottenham<\/b><\/a> winger Mohammed Kudus may require surgery after suffering a setback in his recovery from a thigh injury.<\/b><\/p>\n The Ghana international has been out for more than three months after limping out of Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Sunderland<\/a> on 4 January. <\/p>\n Spurs had initially hoped the 25-year-old former West Ham<\/a> midfielder would return after this month’s international break, making him available for the club’s remaining seven matches of the campaign.<\/p>\n But sources have told BBC Sport that he is now unlikely to feature again this season.<\/p>\n In a statement on Thursday, Spurs said: “He had returned to team training during the past week, however will now require further specialist review and, potentially, surgery.<\/p>\n “We will provide any relevant further updates in due course.”<\/p>\n Roberto de Zerbi’s side are 17th in the Premier League table, one point above the relegation zone. <\/p>\n Kudus, a \u00a355m signing from West Ham<\/a> last summer, faces a race against time to be fit for Ghana’s World Cup squad.<\/p>\n The Black Stars open their World Cup campaign against Panama on 18 June, before facing England on 23 June and Croatia on 27 June. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
