England fast bowler Josh Tongue has signed a new three-year contract with reigning county champions Nottinghamshire that will keep him at Trent Bridge until at least the end of the 2029 season.<\/b><\/p>\n
The 28-year-old has taken 33 wickets in seven first-class matches for Notts at an average of 22.87, since moving from Worcestershire in 2024.<\/a><\/p>\n Tongue played six of those red-ball games early last summer, picking up 31 wickets, including three five-wicket hauls, as Notts went on to claim their first County Championship title since 2010.<\/p>\n So far this season he has played once, taking two wickets in Notts’ thumping 192-run win over Glamorgan.<\/a><\/p>\n “I love playing here and I feel my game has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” Tongue said, external<\/span><\/a> in a statement on the club’s website., external<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n “I’m committed to giving everything for Nottinghamshire whenever I step out onto the field and I’m really excited about the next few years.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
