{"id":41621,"date":"2026-04-25T04:57:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T04:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kede.com.br\/sport\/adam-peaty-wins-british-100m-title-as-he-looks-to-la-olympic-games\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T04:57:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T04:57:10","slug":"adam-peaty-wins-british-100m-title-as-he-looks-to-la-olympic-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kede.com.br\/sport\/adam-peaty-wins-british-100m-title-as-he-looks-to-la-olympic-games\/","title":{"rendered":"Adam Peaty wins British 100m title as he looks to LA Olympic Games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Three-time Olympic champion Adam Peaty made a first step towards a fourth Games in Los Angeles by winning the 100m breaststroke at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships in London.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Peaty, 31, was challenged by two teenagers, Filip Nowacki and Max Morgan, but came through to win in 58.97 seconds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Nowacki was second in 59.39, with Morgan third in a huge personal best of 59.56.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Peaty and Nowacki confirmed their places on the GB team heading to Paris for this summer&#8217;s European Aquatics Championships with their results.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Peaty&#8217;s time was the <a href=\"https:\/\/swimswam.com\/ranking\/\" class=\"ssrcss-18834jl-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\">second best in the world this year<span class=\"visually-hidden ssrcss-i2z2ig-VisuallyHidden e16en2lz0\">, <!-- -->external<\/span><\/a>, suggesting that his time at the top could continue yet as he targets the 2028 Olympics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve got some talented youngsters coming through the pool,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I&#8217;m not talking about this year, it&#8217;s about LA for me, and these boys are going to challenge me the whole way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It is almost a year since Peaty, who got married while swimming took a back seat, confirmed he will go again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He made the decision after it was confirmed the 50m breaststroke event would be added to the schedule in 2028.
