Britain’s WBC light-welterweight champion Dalton Smith has been ruled out of his fight with Alberto Puello through injury.<\/b><\/p>\n
Smith was scheduled to make his first title defence<\/a> against the former two-time world champion in his hometown of Sheffield on 6 June.<\/p>\n However, the unbeaten 29-year-old, who beat Subriel Matias to become world champion<\/a> in January, has picked up a problem during training camp.<\/p>\n Galal Yafai’s unification fight with Ricardo Sandoval has now been promoted to the top of the bill at the Utilita Arena.<\/p>\n Sandoval holds the WBA and WBC flyweight titles while 33-year-old Briton Yafai is the interim WBC champion.<\/a><\/p>\n Elsewhere on the card, Josh Padley will defend his European super-featherweight title against domestic rival Aqib Fiaz, while Ibraheem Sulaimaan faces Ibrahim Nadim for the English super-featherweight belt.<\/p>\n Teenage heavyweight Leo Atang will fight in his native Yorkshire while fellow unbeaten youngsters Adam Maca and Connor Mitchell will also be in action.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
