Britain’s Henry Patten and Finnish team-mate Harri Heliovaara maintained their bid to reclaim the Wimbledon men’s doubles title by reaching the quarter-finals with a hard-fought comeback victory.<\/b><\/p>\n
World number one pairing Patten and Heliovaara, champions at the All England Club in 2024, defeated Czech duo Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl 5-7 6-3 7-6 (10-6).<\/p>\n
The 2025 Australian Open winners, who have won 12 titles together since joining forces in 2024, will face Argentine Guido Andreozzi and Frenchman Manuel Guinard for a semi-final place.<\/p>\n
The other half of the draw still features Britain’s defending champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool, and Neal Skupski, who is partnered by American Christian Harrison.<\/p>\n
Skupski is also through to the third round of the mixed doubles, alongside American Desirae Krawczyk, following the sixth seed’s 7-6 (7-5) 4-6 6-3 win against Portugal’s Francisco Cabral and Australian Ellen Perez.<\/p>\n
Joe Salisbury and Canada’s Leylah Fernandez also progressed with a 6-4 4-6 6-2 win against British duo Ben Jones and Maia Lumsden.<\/p>\n
But Glasspool and Slovakia’s Tereza Mihalikova were beaten 6-3 7-6 (7-3) by France’s Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Germany’s Laura Siegemund.<\/p>\n
Marcus Willis and Heather Watson are also out after losing to Harrison and China’s Zhang Shuai 6-2 7-6 (7-4).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
