Amanda Serrano will look to defend her unified title and break the record for the most knockouts in women’s boxing history when she meets Lucrecia Manzur next month.<\/b><\/p>\n

Serrano, 37, will face 27-year-old Manzur on 21 August at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, with the unified WBA and WBO world featherweight titles on the line.<\/p>\n

In May the Puerto Rican equalled the record for the most knockouts (32) in women’s boxing history<\/a> with a second-round stoppage of Cheyenne Hanson in Texas.<\/p>\n

Her bout with Argentina’s Manzur will be the first unified women’s world title fight contested over 12 two-minute rounds, and the first championship boxing event to be broadcast on TikTok Live.<\/p>\n

Serrano, who holds the WBO, WBA and Ring Magazine titles, is is Puerto Rico’s first undisputed world champion and the most decorated fighter in women’s boxing history.<\/p>\n

“I’ve dedicated my career to creating opportunities for women’s boxing and bringing our sport to the biggest stages possible, so to headline the first championship boxing event on TikTok is incredibly meaningful,” said Serrano. <\/p>\n

“Women’s boxing deserves to be seen by as many people around the world as possible, and this partnership gives us the chance to introduce our sport to a massive global audience in a completely new way.”<\/p>\n

Serrano’s career record is 49-4-1, with 32 knockouts, while Manzur’s reads 14-4 with seven knockouts.<\/p>\n

“Ever since I started boxing, I’ve dreamed of fighting for a world title, and now I have the chance to do it against one of the sport’s true icons and someone I’ve always admired, Amanda Serrano,” said Manzur.<\/p>\n

“I have tremendous respect for everything Amanda has accomplished and for the legacy she has built. But once we step into the ring, my focus is on winning.”<\/p>\n

Also on the card is US Olympian Jahmal Harvey against Mexico’s Hammet Keb in a six-round lightweight bout at 135lbs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
