France international Lucas Digne has completed a move from <\/b>Aston Villa<\/b><\/a> to European champions Paris St-Germain.<\/b><\/p>\n The 33-year-old left back has signed a three-year deal at the Parc des Princes.<\/p>\n Digne, who joined Villa from Everton<\/a> in 2022, spent three years with PSG at the start of his career.<\/p>\n He returns to the club after eight years in England, following PSG’s decision to activate a \u00a38.5m release clause in his contract. <\/p>\n “I am very honoured to be returning to Paris St-Germain following the wonderful experience I had here more than ten years ago,” said Digne. <\/p>\n “I am particularly impressed by how the club has developed over the years.”<\/p>\n Digne is set to provide competition for first-choice left-back Nuno Mendes.<\/p>\n The Frenchman joins a PSG side which have won the Champions League twice in succession, most recently after beating Arsenal<\/a> on penalties in the 2026 final.<\/p>\n Digne made 30 appearances for PSG during his first spell, before leaving for Barcelona in 2016. <\/p>\n The left-back was part of a Villa side which won the Europa League last season – the club’s first piece of silverware since 1996. <\/p>\n He is the third senior departure from Villa Park this season, following the exits of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea<\/a> and Youri Tielemans to Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
