Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour will take place next summer in North America and London

Ariana Grande has said her upcoming Eternal Sunshine tour will be her last for a “long time”.

The US pop star insisted she has not ruled out getting back on the road in the future, but has enjoyed exploring other “creative endeavors” recently.

The Sweetener World Tour in 2019 was her last stint of live shows, since then she has focused on acting, earning an Oscar nomination for her role as Glinda in Wicked earlier this year.

She is currently promoting the sequel, Wicked: For Good, which is due to be released later this week.

The singer’s upcoming tour will be her first in seven years

Speaking to US actress Amy Poehler on her podcast, Ariana said she feels “the last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up”.

“I’m very excited to do this small tour,” the singer said. “But I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time.

“I’m going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful. And I’m so grateful. I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like: ‘One last hurrah’ – for now.”

Ariana explained her decision comes after spending “so much time only doing pop music” but she “grew up as a girl who loved musical theatre and comedy”.

The singer said she thinks what will be best for her “soul” and her “art” will be pursuing things that “feel very right in the moment”.

‘One last hurrah’

Ariana released her latest album, Eternal Sunshine, in 2024, but fans haven’t had the opportunity to see her perform it live yet.

Her upcoming 41-date tour next summer will be the first shows she has done in seven years.

It will see her perform across North America from 6 June to 6 August, followed by a 10-show residency in London’s The O2.

The tour is notably smaller than the 32-year-old’s previous three tours.

The Sweetener World tour in 2019 consisted of 101 shows across North America and Europe.

Her 2017 Dangerous Woman Tour had a total of 77 shows which spanned across the world, while her 2015 Honeymoon Tour had 88 shows.
