Police investigating the death of a man found seriously injured in a car park have appealed for information about designer trainers he had been wearing.
Detectives in Essex have named the victim as Jack Sullivan, who was kidnapped from Waltham Abbey on 22 June and found with fatal injuries in Valence Drive in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. He died in hospital four days later.
Officers are appealing for information about Sullivan’s £1,000 blue Louis Vuitton trainers – which are missing – as well as details of a stolen black Mitsubishi Outlander, used in the incident, which has been traced.
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on conditional bail.
Releasing photographs of both the trainers and the car, Det Ch Insp Greg Wood said: “We believe Jack was taken and carried in a black Mitsubishi Outlander that was bearing the registration HY16 FZR – although this is not the vehicle’s true registration plate.
“We know the vehicle was stolen from an address in Loughton on 3 June, and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen this vehicle between 3 June and 23 June, when we know it was abandoned in River Close, close to Fishers Close, in Waltham Cross.”
